Softball Recap: Pace Academy Falls to Mount Vernon in First Game of Season

Pace Academy had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Mount Vernon Mustangs, falling 12-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost six in a row.

Mount Vernon pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Pace Academy will square off against North Atlanta at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mount Vernon, they will challenge Chamblee at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
