Soccer Game Preview: Tippecanoe vs. Shawnee

The Tippecanoe Red Devils will head out to face off against the Shawnee Indians at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tippecanoe is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Tippecanoe's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Greenville 9-0. Give Tippecanoe's defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Their offense was hitting Greenville from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Eli Kettel led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in September, Shawnee was forced to settle for a draw on Monday. They and Memorial finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw. The outcome might've been different if Luke McGuire hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited his ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Tippecanoe's win bumped their record up to 12-0-2. Shawnee's draw makes their record 7-4-2 this season.

Tippecanoe came up short against Shawnee when the teams last played back in August of 2024, falling 3-1. Can the Red Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
