The St. Francis Spartans will head out to take on the Fenwick Friars at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. St. Francis is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.1 goals per game this season.

St. Francis took a three-goal loss the last time they faced off against Lisle, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Spartans won by a goal and slipped past the Lions 2-1. Given St. Francis' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 151st, while Lisle are ranked 359th) , the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brady Hamman and David Kap Van Lian scored both of St. Francis' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Fenwick made sure to put some goals up on the board against IC Catholic Prep on Tuesday. They blew past the Knights 5-1. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 4-0.

The victory made it two in a row for St. Francis and bumps their season record up to 6-2-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored seven goals over those two matchups. As for Fenwick, their record is now 7-4-1.
