Soccer Game Preview: Cass vs. Pebblebrook

The Cass Colonels are taking a road trip to challenge the Pebblebrook Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cass will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal back in March, then bounced right back against Holy Innocents Episcopal on Tuesday. The Colonels were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Golden Bears. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Cass' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Pebblebrook, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They won by a goal and slipped past Dalton 2-1. The victory was all the more spectacular given Pebblebrook's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 38th, while Dalton are ranked first).

Cass moved to 7-7 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Pebblebrook, their record now sits at 12-4-1.
