Volleyball Recap: Pearland Takes a Loss

Pearland lost against Cinco Ranch back in September of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Oilers fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 3-2. The Oilers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pearland actually scored more points across those five sets (106-105), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 17-25, 22-25, 25-22, 16-14.

Despite the loss, Pearland still got an impressive performance from Julia Reyes, who had 18 digs and one assist. Reyes is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Pearland's loss dropped their record down to 17-17. As for Cinco Ranch, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-16.

Looking ahead, Pearland is taking a road trip to take on South Houston at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cinco Ranch, they will face off against Seven Lakes at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
