Softball Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Sergeant Bluff-Luton Warriors, falling 9-1. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent defeat being a 12-1 loss on Thursday.

Lincoln saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Beckman, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Sergeant Bluff-Luton, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln will take on Glenwood at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sergeant Bluff-Luton, they will head out to challenge Underwood on Saturday.
