Recap: Marion Center Stingers vs. Portage Mustangs
The Marion Center Stingers were the 53-46 winner over the Portage Mustangs when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Marion Center took a 49-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Portage on Tuesday.
Portage can attribute much of their success to Alex Chobany, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds and 6 steals. Chobany is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cami Burkett, who scored 9 points.
Marion Center's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Portage, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Marion Center won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Ligonier Valley at 7:15 p.m. on December 6th. Hopefully Ligonier Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Saturday. As for Portage, they will face off against Biglerville at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
