Softball Recap: Thomasville Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Thomasville waltzed into their match on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Miller County Pirates a 5-0 shutout. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three games.

Not much got past Khiler Oehlhof, who gave up just five hits and racked up 15 Ks to keep Miller County off the board. Oehlhof has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jaelyn Oehlhof was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Fallyn McDougald, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Thomasville's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Miller County, with the loss, they broke their nine-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-5.

Thomasville and Miller County should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Bulldogs (ranked 81st) will meet Seminole County (ranked 323rd) at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Miller County will face off against Schley County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (132 vs. 285).
