Basketball Recap: Wiseburn- Da Vinci Takes a Loss

Wiseburn- Da Vinci was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They fell 37-29 to the Geffen Academy Bruins. If the Wolves were looking for revenge after losing 50-33 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Wiseburn- Da Vinci lost, don't look at Kayla Muhammad-Flissinger. Despite the final result, she posted eight points and ten boards. Those ten rebounds gave Muhammad-Flissinger a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashley Sutton, who scored five points and three steals.

It was another big night for Ciahna M, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 18 boards for Geffen Academy. That makes it three consecutive games in which M has scored at least a third of Geffen Academy's points.

Wiseburn- Da Vinci's loss dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Geffen Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Wiseburn- Da Vinci didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-31 defeat against Palos Verdes on the 28th. As for Geffen Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 64-34 win against California Academy of Math & Science on the 27th.
