Soccer Game Preview: Tecumseh vs. Jonathan Alder

Tecumseh is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Jonathan Alder is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Arrows will welcome the Pioneers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Jonathan Alder better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Tecumseh's game on Monday is any indication, that's when Tecumseh really gets things going. The Arrows' defense stepped up to hand Benjamin Logan a 4-0 shutout. The high-scoring effort was just what Tecumseh needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jonathan Alder). Everything went their way against Northwestern on Thursday as they made off with a 10-0 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Jonathan Alder's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while Northwestern are ranked 541st).

Tecumseh's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Jonathan Alder, their victory bumped their record up to 12-1-1.
