High school basketball: Columbus, Plano East, Myers Park and Don Bosco Prep headline The Throne participants

Loaded postseason event features 13 teams ranked in the MaxPreps Top 25.

The field is set for The Throne, a high school basketball tournament scheduled for March 27-30 at the American Dream entertainment center in East Rutherford, N.J.

Thirteen of the 16 teams included in the field are ranked in this week's MaxPreps Top 25, including No. 1 Columbus (Miami, Fla.), No. 3 Plano East (Plano, Texas), No. 4 Myers Park (Charlotte, N.C.) and No. 5 Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.).


Ridge View (Columbia, S.C.), who is currently just outside the MaxPreps Top 25, and Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, Va.), round-out the field along with a representative from the NY CHSAA/NY PSAL.

Gold Level Sports & Entertainment and the National Basketball Players Association are continuing their partnership to bring The Throne back for its second consecutive season next month.



The four-day, single-elimination tournament aims to bring a national title event to the high school level and all games will be live streaming on NBA TV.
