Basketball Recap: Arvin Skates Past Del Oro with Ease

Arvin posted their biggest victory since December 10, 2024 on Friday. They blew past the Del Oro Suns 42-14.

Leading Arvin to victory were Rosario Flores and Mariana Soto. Flores posted nine points and seven steals, while Soto earned seven points along with 13 boards and five steals. What's more, Flores also racked up four assists, the most she's had since back in November of 2023. Another player making a difference was Melina Gracia, who had six points.

Arvin's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Del Oro, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Arvin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 41-23 victory against Golden Valley on the 15th. As for Del Oro, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 43-15 win against Wonderful College Prep Academy on the 13th.
