Baseball Recap: Marcellus Comes Up Short

Marcellus extended their losing streak to seven on Tuesday, dropping them down to 4-16. They lost 10-1 to the Skaneateles Lakers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Lakers this season, with their most recent loss being a 9-4 defeat on Thursday.

As for Skaneateles, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-8. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games.

For Skaneateles' part, Nathan Latreille was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Those ten strikeouts gave Latreille a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Shea Musso, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Cody Crane, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

As of now, neither Marcellus nor Skaneateles have any future games scheduled.
