Football Game Preview: Cloudcroft Bears vs. Clayton Yellowjackets + How To Watch

Cloudcroft is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Saturday. They will look to defend their home field against the Clayton Yellowjackets at 1:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Cloudcroft is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their contest on Saturday with ease, bagging a 54-8 win over Dulce. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-8.

Meanwhile, Clayton got themselves on the board against Navajo Pine two weeks ago, but Navajo Pine never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Warriors 54-0. The Yellowjackets' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Clayton's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Cloudcroft, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Cloudcroft took a serious blow against Clayton in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, falling 56-6. Thankfully for the Bears, Daniel Manquero (who threw for 151 yards and three TDs on only seven passes, and also rushed for 57 yards and one touchdown) won't be suiting up this time.
