Recap: Totino-Grace Eagles vs. Willmar Cardinals
The Totino-Grace Eagles pushed their score all the way to 35 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 36-35 to Willmar. Totino-Grace has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Totino-Grace still got an impressive performance from Justin Kuharski, who rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Marquel Keten, who rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Willmar can attribute much of their success to Conlan Carlson, who gained 96 total yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Ellingson, who threw for 195 yards and two touchdowns.
Totino-Grace's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Willmar, their victory bumped their record up to 2-6.
Totino-Grace does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Willmar will head out on the road to face off against Marshall at 3:00 p.m. on October 28th. Marshall will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
