Baseball Recap: Carmel Comes Up Short

After flying high against Vernon Hills on Thursday, Carmel came back down to earth. The Corsairs fell just short of the Crystal Lake South Gators by a score of 4-3 on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Corsairs of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Carmel saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Ulbrich, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Carmel's loss dropped their record down to 15-22. As for Crystal Lake South, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-9.

As of now, neither Carmel nor the Gators have any future games scheduled.
