Basketball Game Preview: Maplewood Tigers vs. Jamestown Muskies

The Maplewood Tigers will take on the Jamestown Muskies at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Maplewood's favor as the squad sits on 14 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Jamestown has been banged up by 11 consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

On Thursday, Maplewood was fully in charge, breezing past Youngsville 55-3. That 52 point margin sets a new team best for the Tigers this season.

Meanwhile, Jamestown played a tough match on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 76-32 loss at the hands of Cochranton. The Muskies were down 60-26 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Maplewood has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Jamestown, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.

Everything came up roses for Maplewood against Jamestown in their previous matchup back in December of 2014, as the team secured a 53-21 win. Will Maplewood repeat their success, or does Jamestown have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
