Softball Recap: Turner Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Turner had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against the Stonewall Longhorns by a score of 8-3. That's the first time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 14-3 win on Thursday.

Turner's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Stonewall, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-16 record this season.

Stonewall will square off against Tupelo at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Turner will be paying especially close attention to the Longhorns' contest: after the Longhorns face off against Moss, they'll take on Turner again.
