Baseball Recap: Central Triumphs

Central extended their postseason success on Friday against Foothills Christian. They skirted past the Knights 11-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Spartans have posted since April 24th.

Central got a great performance from Ricardo Miranda as he pitched 5.1 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits.

Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March.

The victory made it two in a row for Central and bumps their season record up to 11-17-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Foothills Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 19-12.

As of now, neither Central nor the Knights have any future games scheduled.
