Softball Recap: Marist Comes Up Short

Marist was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pope Greyhounds. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the War Eagles of the 9-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Marist's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Pope, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Marist will welcome Druid Hills at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the War Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Pope, they are taking a road trip to take on Roswell at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
