Volleyball Recap: Umatilla Beats Eustis for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Umatilla barely beat Eustis the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won five contests in a row.

While Umatilla might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Eustis scored at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-22, 25-21.

Aubrey Schnitz produced another solid effort getting 47 digs and two aces. She has been hot, having posted 20 or more digs the last five times she's played. Kinley Wheeler was another key player, getting 16 digs and four aces.

Umatilla's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Eustis, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Umatilla will welcome Palatka at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eustis, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tavares at 7:00 p.m. on September 8.
