Baseball Game Preview: Crisp Academy Wildcats vs. Westwood Wildcats

For the second straight game, Crisp Academy will face off against Westwood. Crisp Academy will be playing at home against Westwood at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Crisp Academy has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 17.

Crisp Academy fell victim to Westwood and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against Westwood, falling 15-0.

For Westwood's part, Will Curles was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2. Those three runs gave Curles a new career-high. Bryce Roberts was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Westwood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .677. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Westwood has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Crisp Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.
