Preview: Highlands Scots vs. Foresthill Wildfires
Having just played yesterday, the Highlands Scots will jump right back in to play the Foresthill Wildfires at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Highlands will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1320th, while Foresthill is ranked 594th).
After soaring to 55 points the game before, Highlands were a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They fell 35-23 to Mesa Verde.
Foresthill has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 23 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 56-13 win over Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning on the road. The victory was nothing new for Foresthill as they're now sitting on three straight.
Highlands' defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Foresthill, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Highlands beat Foresthill 44-37 in their previous matchup back in December of 2019. Will Highlands repeat their success, or does Foresthill have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
