Baseball Recap: Westminster Christian Academy Victorious

Westminster Christian Academy won the last time they faced Peachtree Academy and things went their way on Monday too. The Westminster Christian Academy Lions walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Peachtree Academy Panthers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

William Greene made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Westminster Christian Academy is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-3 otherwise. Greene was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Westminster Christian Academy let Rhyan Ford and David Tingle run wild. Ford scored two runs while going 1-for-2, while Tingle scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Aubrey Chasteen also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

The win got Westminster Christian Academy back to even at 4-4. As for Peachtree Academy, they moved to 3-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westminster Christian Academy will square off against Augusta Prep Day at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give Westminster Christian Academy their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. Peachtree Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Horizon Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on March 27th.
