Pirches was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That stolen base was his first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cam Carlisle, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Colton Kerrison was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Middletown hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive contests.
Burrillville's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Middletown, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.
