Linn-Mar faced Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Lions came up short against the Tigers, falling 4-1. Linn-Mar just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Linn-Mar now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Valley, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Linn-Mar wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Prairie on the 22nd. As for Valley, they have also already played their next match, a 6-1 win against Sioux City North on the 19th.
