Recap: West Vikings vs. North Stars
The West Vikings posted their biggest victory since December 13, 2023 on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat North 62-30 on the road. The win made it back-to-back wins for West.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caleigh Adams, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Adams has scored at least a third of West's points. Mikayla Villalobos was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
West has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for North, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.
West will be playing at home against South at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1122nd, while West is ranked 438th). As for North, they will head out on the road to take on Mira Monte at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mira Monte has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 30.
