Soccer Recap: Westminster Comes Up Short

Westminster managed to keep up with Pace Academy until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Wildcats lost 4-0 to the Knights. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Westminster came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked fourth, while Pace Academy are ranked 35th).

Westminster's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Pace Academy, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3.

Coming up, Westminster will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Lovett at 7:00 p.m. As for Pace Academy, they will head out to challenge Woodward Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Woodward Academy will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Pace Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
