Volleyball Recap: Freeman Beats Stafford for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Freeman waltzed into their match on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Stafford Spartans with a sharp 3-0 victory.

One reason for the win was Freeman's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-19, 25-18.

Their offense was headlined by Ciena Sy and Chelsea Wasira, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Georgia Walker and her nine assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Freeman's win bumped their record up to 12-23. As for Stafford, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-18.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Freeman is set to take on their familiar foe Harmony School of Innovation at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Stafford will face off against rival Fort Bend Willowridge at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
