Soccer Recap: Wheatland Comes Up Short

Wheatland and Colfax combined for 18 shots on goal on Thursday, which explains the impressive eight total goals scored. The Wheatland Pirates lost 7-1 to the Colfax Falcons. The Pirates have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Wheatland's goal came courtesy of Brooklyn Grace, who's now up to seven this season.

Wheatland's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14-3. As for Colfax, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-2.

Wheatland wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Marysville on the 5th. As for Colfax, they are taking a road trip to face off against Oakmont at 12:00 p.m. on February 8th. Oakmont knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Colfax likes a good challenge.
