Baseball Game Preview: Tattnall County Warriors vs. Appling County Pirates

Tattnall County hasn't had much luck against Appling County recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Tattnall County will host Appling County at 6:00 p.m.

Last Friday, Tattnall County didn't have quite enough to beat Statesboro and fell 5-3.

Miles Brown was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Connor Dutton also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Appling County came out on top in a nail-biter against Pierce County, sneaking past 3-2. That's two games straight that the Pirates have won by just one run.

Appling County's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-9. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Tattnall County, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.

Tattnall County might still be hurting after the 10-3 loss they got from Appling County when the teams last played back in April of 2024.
