Football Recap: Lewiston-Altura Starts Season with Win Against Blooming Prairie

Lewiston-Altura gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They walked away with a 21-8 win over the Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms. This was payback for the Cardinals, who suffered a 53-29 loss the last time these two teams met.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lewiston-Altura will square off against Waterville-Elysian-Morristown at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Blooming Prairie, they will venture away from home to challenge Blue Earth at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
