Softball Recap: Aurora Victorious

While Aurora put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Norfolk. The Huskies walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Panthers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Huskies.

Josie Fink tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Londyn Teahon and Adrianna Brei did most of the damage at the plate: Teahon went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI, while Brei went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave Teahon a new career-high. Violet Carstensen was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Aurora's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Norfolk, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-7.

Aurora has already played their next game, a 9-1 loss against Northwest on the 6th. As for Norfolk, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 8-2 defeat against Kearney Catholic on the 6th.
