Carlsbad was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Organ Mountain Knights, falling 4-0. That's two games in a row now that Carlsbad have lost by exactly four goals.

Carlsbad's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Organ Mountain, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Carlsbad will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Clovis at 6:00 p.m. on the 30th. This will be Carlsbad's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Organ Mountain, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Gadsden on the 23rd.
