Basketball Recap: Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory Takes a Loss

Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 61-44 bruising from the Archbishop Riordan Crusaders. The Fightin' Irish were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Crusaders earlier this season, when they won 45-39.

Leading Archbishop Riordan to victory were Trenia Dunbar and Tara Dacic. Dunbar posted 16 points, while Dacic put up 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tallyah Nasol, who earned seven points.

Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Archbishop Riordan, their victory bumped their record up to 13-6.

Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory has already played their next match, a 61-51 defeat against Saint Francis on the 1st. As for Archbishop Riordan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 69-22 win against Presentation on the 1st.
