Eastlake skates past Southwest SD with ease

Recap: Eastlake Titans vs. Southwest SD Raiders

The Eastlake Titans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 22 points or more this season. They blew past Southwest SD 72-22 on the road. The win was familiar territory for Eastlake who now have three in a row.

Eastlake was led to victory by Jada White and Jordyn Worley. White scored 21 points, while Worley scored 18 points along with eight rebounds. The game was Worley's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Helen Rosales, who scored seven points along with eight assists and five rebounds.

Despite the defeat, Southwest SD saw an underclassman step up: Jazlyn Martinez scored nine points.

Eastlake is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season. As for Southwest SD, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Eastlake and Otay Ranch will face off at 3:00 p.m. on January 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Southwest SD won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against O'Farrell Charter at 12:00 p.m. on January 6th. O'Farrell Charter comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
