Softball Recap: Houston County Comes Up Short

Houston County managed to slip by Colquitt County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bears came up short against the Packers on Friday, falling 9-2. The Bears were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Packers earlier this season, when they won 6-5.

Houston County has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7-1 record this season. As for Colquitt County, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.

Looking ahead, Houston County will face off against Troup County at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Colquitt County, they will be taking part in a tournament against Northside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Packers surely won't give up without a fight.
