Basketball Recap: New Hanover Picks Up 11th Straight Win on the Road

New Hanover had won ten straight road games dating back to last season and Kellum Brown did his part to make it 11 on Friday. The Wildcats breezed past the Garner Trojans to the tune of 79-51 for which the team can thank Brown, who dropped a double-double with 31 points and 11 boards. His big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 26 points.

Jazir Wright-Mcghee was another key player, shooting 42% from the field to rack up 13 points and four steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game.

New Hanover's record is now 3-1. As for Garner, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

New Hanover has already played their next game, a 71-41 victory against South Mecklenburg on the 6th. As for Garner, they will take on Southeast Raleigh at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
