With a playoff win on the line, Bishop Carroll rose to the challenge on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Valley Center Hornets a 14-0 shutout. The win was familiar territory for the Golden Eagles, who have now won three games in a row.

Bishop Carroll didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Pius Graf.

Bishop Carroll's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Valley Center, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Bishop Carroll will challenge Great Bend on Friday. The Golden Eagles will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. Valley Center does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
