Softball Recap: Coffee Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Coffee won the last time they faced Pierce County and things went their way on Saturday too. The Trojans had just enough and edged out the Bears 9-8. That's two games straight that the Trojans have won by just one run.

The win (which was Coffee's third in a row) raised their record to 4-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Pierce County, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Coming up, Coffee will venture away from home to challenge Veterans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Trojans 3.2, the Warhawks 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Pierce County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Camden County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
