Baseball Recap: North Murray Takes a Loss

North Murray lost against Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe back in March of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mountaineers took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The Mountaineers' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

North Murray saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Skojac, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base.

North Murray's defeat dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-22.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Murray will square off against LaFayette at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Mountaineers are facing the Ramblers at the right time seeing as the Ramblers are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, they will face off against Chattooga at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: the Indians will have lost 13 straight heading into Monday's match.
