Ambridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 28-27 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mt. Pleasant Vikings. On the bright side, the 27- point performance marked the Bridgers' highest-scoring game to date.

Ambridge's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Mt. Pleasant, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Ambridge will host Greensburg Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bridgers will be up against the Golden Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Mt.
