Basketball Recap: Inverness Christian Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Varsity Opponent on Tuesday, Inverness Christian Academy came back down to earth. Inverness Christian Academy lost 68-47 to the West Hernando Christian Bears on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for Inverness Christian Academy in their meetings with West Hernando Christian: they've now lost eight in a row.

Colvin Grob was nothing short of spectacular for West Hernando Christian: he almost dropped a triple-double with 30 points, 17 rebounds, and nine steals. Browdy Braxtyn was another key player, dropping a double-double with 21 points and 11 boards.

Inverness Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for West Hernando Christian, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Inverness Christian Academy will head out to challenge Faith Outreach Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for West Hernando Christian, they will venture away from home to take on Varsity Opponent on Thursday.
