Basketball Game Preview: Clearfield Bison vs. Tyrone Golden Eagles

The Clearfield Bison will square off against the Tyrone Golden Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Clearfield took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 65-51 win over Clarion-Limestone.

Meanwhile, Tyrone humbled Bellefonte with a 64-21 victory. That looming 64-21 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Golden Eagles yet this season.

Clearfield's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points over those games. As for Tyrone, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Clearfield didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Tyrone in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 62-56 win. Will Clearfield repeat their success, or does Tyrone have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
