Basketball Game Preview: Towanda Black Knights vs. Williamsport Millionaires

The Towanda Black Knights will venture away from home to square off against the Williamsport Millionaires at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Towanda has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Towanda lost 77-54 to Troy on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Black Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 367th, while the Trojans are ranked 161st).

Meanwhile, Williamsport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 64-30 to Lewisburg, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Williamsport's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Towanda, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Towanda was taken down by Williamsport 49-15 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Towanda was down 42-6.
