Softball Recap: Coleman Wildcats vs. Whitesboro Bulldogs
Coleman is still undefeated this season after their match against Whitesboro on Thursday, but Whitesboro came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Wildcats narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Bulldogs 3-1. While the Wildcats didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
The team relied heavily on Laney Alford, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Marissa Holder was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.
Coleman's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Whitesboro, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
