Softball Recap: Commerce Comes Up Short

Commerce lost against Oglethorpe County two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Tigers came up short against the Patriots, falling 15-7.

Camden Thomason made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Camryn Lord, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Commerce's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Oglethorpe County, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-7 record.

Coming up, Commerce is taking a road trip to square off against Towns County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Oglethorpe County, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-3 defeat against Elbert County on the 30th.
