Volleyball Recap: Willow Has No Trouble Against Mcdonogh 35

Willow's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They blew past the McDonogh 35 Roneagles 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Willow took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-12, 25-10.

Elena Pardo paced Willow's offense, picking up eight kills. Pardo got some help from Haviva A and her ten assists. Naomi Ford controlled things from the service line, finishing with nine aces.

Willow's win bumped their record up to 15-8. As for McDonogh 35, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13-1.

Looking ahead, Willow will welcome East St. John at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for McDonogh 35, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against St. Martin's Episcopal on the 16th.
