Basketball Recap: California Comes Up Short

California and Fort Cherry squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but California had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Fort Cherry Rangers 59-29. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 494th, while the Rangers are ranked 225th).

California's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Fort Cherry, their win bumped their record up to 11-3.

California does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fort Cherry, they will face off against South Side on Friday. South Side will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Fort Cherry surely won't give up without a fight.
