Softball Recap: Whitewater Comes Up Short

Whitewater lost against Pike County back in September of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Wildcats lost 11-1 to the Pirates. The Wildcats' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Whitewater's loss dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Pike County, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-4.

Coming up, Whitewater will head out on the road to challenge McIntosh at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chiefs have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season. Pike County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
